Our Mission
The Dressing Forward Initiative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping women with the resources necessary to achieve success in their workplace and internships. We provide interview and work clothing for women who are experiencing financial hardship. We schedule individualized styling sessions with our stylists who help each client find personalized interview outfits and work clothing.
Thoughts from our founder Bernice
In October 2022, a nonprofit I had been volunteering with for years abruptly shut down. I felt devastated knowing that these services would no longer be provided to our Los Angeles community. I kept thinking of the stories that the women who visited our organization would tell and the impact that we had on their journey to financial stability. Inspired by their stories, I created The Dressing Forward Initiative, a place that I hope can continue to remove external barriers and help individuals thrive.
